1 Basic requirement 1.1 Scope and purpose of application This section specifies the following contents of flow switches: - Definition; - Classification—— Characteristics、 - - Product information—— Normal use、 installation、 and transportation conditions、 - Structural and performance requirements; - Rated performance verification tests. This section is applicable to flow switches used to detect the flow rate of gases、 liquids、 or granular solids. If the preset flow rate of the flow switch is exceeded、 the switch will change its output state. These flow switches are independent and have semiconductor switching components、 and are expected to be connected to circuits with rated voltages not exceeding 250 V AC、 50/60 Hx、 or 30 V DC. Additional measures necessary for the use of explosive detection materials and/or flow switches located in explosive locations are not specified in this section.
