This part of GB/T14837 specifies the method for determining the total organic matter content、 carbon black content、 carbon residue content、 and ash content of vulcanized and unvulcanized rubber (see 1.2) containing carbon residue formed during cracking using a thermogravimetric analyzer. The mass loss of around 300 C is an approximate value of the volatile substance content in the rubber compound. 1.2 This section is applicable to the determination of hydrocarbon polymer rubber compounds and vulcanizates covered by GB/T 14837.1、 as well as the following rubbers with polar groups that form carbon residue after pyrolysis: a) Acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBRs); b) Carboxyacrylonitrile butadiene rubber (XNBRs); e) Chlorinated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR); d) Chlorinated isobutylene isoprene rubber (CIIRs); e) Australian isobutylene isoprene rubber (BIIRs). Note 1:; If this method has been validated in advance to be applicable to known rubber compounds and vulcanizates containing similar components、 the scope of application of this method can be extended to the analysis of other rubber compounds other than those specified in this section. Note 2: This section does not apply to polymers containing mineral fillers such as tartrate or hydrated oxidants、 which may decompose between 250 and 800 ° C. If used by a certain infant、 appropriate correction should be made based on the characteristics of the filler.
