The principle of low-pressure casting is that in a sealed container (also known as a pressure tank) containing alloy liquid、 dry compressed air (or inert gas) is introduced to act on the alloy liquid surface、 causing a pressure difference between the sealed container and the mold cavity. Under lower filling pressure、 the alloy liquid smoothly enters the mold cavity through the riser and runner. After the alloy liquid fills the mold cavity、 rapidly increase to the crystallization pressure and maintain it until the alloy liquid completely solidifies. Then release the gas pressure inside the sealed pressure tank、 allowing the non solidified alloy liquid in the riser and runner to return to the container under the action of Cui Li. This is the principle of low-pressure casting [1];. Features (1) Stable and easy to control filling; The filling process of low-pressure casting involves the injection of alloy liquid into the mold cavity from bottom to top under low external gas pressure. The filling speed can be manually controlled according to needs、 allowing the alloy liquid to be injected smoothly、 avoiding oxidation slag caused by impact during gravity casting、 and obtaining high-quality castings. (2) The crystallization and solidification process of castings in low-pressure casting is carried out under high crystallization pressure、 so the castings can receive sufficient shrinkage. In this way、 without riser、 a casting with dense microstructure can still be obtained、 greatly improving the yield of metal and saving a large amount of non-ferrous metals. (3) Simplified the pouring system. During low-pressure pouring、 the alloy liquid enters the mold cavity directly through the inner runner through the riser. Therefore、 compared to gravity pouring、 the pouring system is greatly simplified、 which not only saves molding time but also reduces metal consumption. (4) The filling pressure and crystallization pressure suitable for low-pressure casting of various molds are relatively low、 making it not only suitable for metal and graphite molds、 but also for sand molds. In this way、 its application can be unrestricted by production batches.
