1 Scope: This method standard is applicable to the testing of initial adhesion of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes and products similar to pressure sensitive adhesive tapes. 2. The following standards contain provisions that can be referenced in this standard and constitute provisions of this standard. GB/T 308-1989 Definition of Steel Balls for Rolling Bearings - This standard adopts the following definition: When there is a brief contact between the initial adhesive tape object and the adhesive surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive tape under small pressure、 the adhesive tape's adhesion to the object is called initial adhesion. Roll a steel ball over the adhesive tape adhesive surface placed flat on an inclined plate. Evaluate the initial adhesion size based on the size of the large steel ball that can be adhered to by the adhesive surface of the specified length. Alternatively、 roll a steel ball of the specified size over an inclined groove and measure the distance it rolls over the adhesive tape adhesive surface on a horizontal plate to evaluate its initial adhesion size. 5 Test conditions 5.1 Unless otherwise specified、 the laboratory temperature is 23C ± 2C and the relative humidity is 50% ± 10%. 5.2 Before preparing the sample、 the packaging material should be removed from the adhesive tape and it should be placed for at least 2 hours without overlapping under the conditions of 5.1. For adhesive tapes with high elongation、 after sampling、 the 6 test pieces should be placed until the elongation is basically restored before testing. 6.1 Method A Test Piece Size: Width (10-80) mm、 length above 250 mm Number of test pieces: not less than 4 6.2 Method B test piece size: 25 mm wide and over 100 mm long.
